Antimensĭum

Antimensĭum (gr. u. lat.), 1) in der griechischen Kirche ein kleiner, meist seidner, einen geweihten Altar vertretender od. über einen nicht geweihten Altar zu deckender Tischteppich, aus dem, bei der Einweihung einer Kirche gebrauchten großen Altartuche geschnitten; 2) ein kleiner tragbarer Altar.
