Arpad [2]

Arpad, Sohn des Almus, Herzog der Magyaren, 889–907, wo er st.; s. Ungarn (Gesch.). Er ist der in den Volksliedern der Magyaren vielbesungene Nationalheros u. Stammvater des Arpadischen Königsstammes, der mit Andreas III. 1301 ausstarb.
