Schreibart; er schr. außer lyrischen Gedichten auch die Epopöen l'Italia liberata, l'Amadeida, 1620, 1654, u.a.; das Trauerspiel Erminia, die Opern: Amore sbandito, Il ballo delle Grazie, Il vapimento di Cefalo, u.a.m.; Rime, Gen. 1605 f., Flor. 1627, 4 Bde., Rom 1723, Ven. 1731; Poesie lir., Liv. 1783, 3 Bde., Mail. 1807; Opere, Ven. 1768, 6 Bde., 1782, 5 Bde.; Lebensbeschreibung im 1.
