Chirk (spr. Tscherk), Dorf in der Grafschaft Denbigh (englisches Fürstenthum Wales), am Ellesmerekanal, der hier in einer 50 Fuß hohen steinernen Leitung über Thal u. Fluß Leiriog geführt wird; 1600 Ew. In der Nähe Steinkohlenminen.
