Conciliabŭlum (lat.), 1) (röm. Ant.), Ort in den römischen Provinzen, wo die Prätoren ihre Gerichtstage hielten; 2) Marktplatz, Marktflecken, Handlungsplatz; 3) kleineres (Winkel-) Concil; 4) heimliche Versammlung, welcher religiöse Zwecke zum Grunde liegen; 5) jede heimliche Zusammenkunft, die einen verbotenen Zweck hat.
