Condition (v. lat. Conditio), 1) Bedingung; daher Conditĭo sine qua non, Bedingung, ohne welche (eine Sache) nicht (geschehen kann); 2) Beschaffenheit, Zustand, so eine Waare guter C.; 3) s. A condition; 4) Vorschlag, Antrag; 5) das dienstliche Verhältniß, in welchem Handlungsdiener zu ihrem Handlungshause, Gesellen zu ihrem Meister, Hauslehrer zum Hausherrn etc. stehen. Daher: Conditional (Conditionell), bedingend, bedingt; Conditionaliter, bedingungsweise; Conditionalsätze, Sätze, in denen eine Bedingung ausgesprochen ist; sie beginnen mit der Conditionalpartikel wenn; Conditionalvertrag, bedingungsweis gestellter Vertrag; Conditioniren, eine Condition (s.d. 5) bekleiden; Conditionirt, beschaffen, erhalten, bedingt; Conditionirte Wechsel, bedingte Wechsel.
