Formononetīn

Formononetīn, C50H20O13, entsteht durch Einwirkung von verdünnter Schwefelsäure od. Salzsäure auf Ononin, ist krystallinisch, schwer löslich in Wasser u. Äther, leicht löslich in Alkalien u. siedendem Alkohol, geschmacklos; Schwefelsäure u. Braunstein färben es schön roth; durch Kochen mit Barytwasser geht es in Ononelin über; es zerfällt unter Wasseraufnahme in Ameisensäure u. Ononetin.
