Gallŏway (spr. Galloweh), 1) ehemalige Provinz in S. Schottland, zerfiel in die Districte East- u. W.-G.; bildet jetzt die Grafschaften Kirkcudbright u. Wigton; 2) (New-G.), Flecken in der Grafschaft Kirkcudbright, am Ken; 700 Ew.; 3) (Mullof G.), das südlichste Vorgebirg von Schottland, an der Südspitze der südwestlichen Halbinsel der Grafschaft Wigton, am Eingang der Lucebai; 4) Küstenstrich des Baffinslandes (Arktisches Nordamerika), zwischen dem Vorgebirg Adair u. dem Vorgebirg Astron; 5) Städtischer Bezirk mit Postamt (Post-township) in der Grafschaft Atlantic des Staates New-Jersey (Nordamerika); 2400 Ew.
