Manicarĭa, (M. Gaert.) Pflanzengattung aus der Familie der Palme-Borassinae pinnatifrondes, Monöcie, Polyandrie; Art: M. saccifera, in Guiana, mit 4 Fuß langer, aus braunen, kreuzweis verflochtenen Fasern gebildeter, sehr dehnbarer Kolbenscheide.
