Heidelberg Medicin, wurde 1834 Prosector an der Anatomie in Berlin, 1837 Privatdocent daselbst, 1840 Professor der Anatomie in Zürich, 1844 Professor der Anatomie in Heidelberg, seit 1852 Director der anatomischen Anstalt in Göttingen; er schr.: Über Narcine, Bonn 1834; Symbolae ad anatom. villorum intestinalium, ebd. 1837; Über Schleim- u. Eiterbildung, ebd. 1838; mit I.
