Huron District, District in Obercanada (Britisch Nordamerika), im Norden u. Westen vom Huronen See begrenzt; durchgehends sehr fruchtbar; Producte: Weizen, Roggen, Gerste, Hafer, Kartoffeln, Erbsen, Ahornzucker, Wollen- u. Baumwollenindustrie; der District war bis 1818 noch vollkommene Wildniß u. wurde erst seitdem angebaut (wegen seiner großen Fruchtbarkeit sehr schnell, 1850 waren bereits 75,000 Acres cultivirt), bildete früher den nördlichen Theil des Londondistricts, 1842 davon getrennt; 30,000 Ew.; Hauptstadt: Goderich, an der Mündung des Maitland in den Huronen See; Hafen; 1200 Ew.
