Osage, 1) (O. River), Fluß in den Vereinigten Staaten von Nordamerika, entspringt im Indian Territory, fließt nach dem Staate Missouri u. fällt dort nach einer Stromlänge von 110 Meilen unterhalb Jefferson City in den Missouri River; bei Hochwasser ist er 40 Ml. von seiner Mündung aufwärts schiffbar; an seinen Ufern große Prairien, Waldungen u. reiche Steinkohlenlager; 2) Grafschaft im Staate Missouri, 40 QM., Flüsse: Missouri, Osage, Gasconade u. Marais Rivers; Producte: Mais, Weizen, Hafer; Rindvieh; 1850: 6704 Ew., worunter 270 Sklaven; Hauptort: Linn.
