Kendall (spr. Kend'l), George Wilkins, geb. im Staate Vermont, ging später nach New York, wo er bis 1835 lebte, dann nach New Orleans u. übernahm die Redaction des Picayune, eines der populärsten Blätter in den Vereinigten Staaten; 1841 begleitete er die Santa Fé Expedition, machte dann den Mexicanischen Krieg mit u. schrieb Narrative of Texan Santa Fé expedition across the Great Southwestern Prairies to the City of Mexico, New York 1844, 2 Bde; History of the war between the United States and Mexico.
