Laurel Hill (d.i. Vorbeerhügel), 1) schöner Gottesacker. in der Grafschaft Philadelphia im Staate Pennsylvanien (Nordamerika), am Schuylkill River, 11/2 Stunde nördlich von der Stadt Philadelphia, auf einem Hügel angelegt; verschlungene Pfade, Baumgruppen, Blumenbeete, zahlreiche Denkmäler, gothische Kapelle; dient vorzugsweise reichen Philadelphiaer Familien zum Begräbnißort; 2) (L. Mountain, L. Ridge), Zweig des Alleghanygebirges im Pennsylvanien, beginnt in der Grafschaft Cambria, durchzieht die Grafschaften Fayette u. Westmoreland u. verzweigt sich jenseit der Grenze von Virginia in zwei Züge, von denen der eine den Namen L. H. beibehält, der andere den Namen Chesnut Ridge annimmt.
