Lelong (spr. Lelong), Jacques, geb. 1665 in Paris, wurdein Malta für den Johanniterordenerzogen, studirte in Paris u. trat, nachdem er seine Verbindung mit den Johannitern gelöst hatte, 1686 in die Congregation der Priester des Oratoriums, setzte seine Studien in Juilli u. Paris fort, wurde 1699 Bibliothekar des Oratoriums St. Honoré u. starb 17. Aug. 1721; er gab heraus: Bib liotheca sacra (Verzeichniß aller Ausgaben u. Übersetzungen der Bibel), Par. 1709, 2. A. 1723, 2 Bde., Fol., u. Ausg. von Masch, Halle 1778–90, 5 Bde.; Bibliothèque historique de la France, Par, 1719, n. A. von Fevret de Fontette, 1768, 5 Bde., Fol.; Supplément à lhistoire des dictionnaires hébr. de Wolfius, 1707; Nouvelle methode des langues hébraique et chaldaique, 1708; Discours hist. sur les principales éditions de bibles polyglottes, 1713.
