Pierce (spr. Pihrs), 1) Grafschaft im Staate Wisconsin (Nordamerika); 26 QM.; Flüsse: Mississippi, St. Croix, Red Cedar, Rush u. Menomonie Rivers; große Prairien u. Waldungen; erst 1851 aus einem Theil der Grafschaft St. Croix gebildet; Einwohnerzahl daher noch nicht im Census von 1850; Hauptort: Prescott; 2) Grafschaft im Staate Minnesota, ungefähr 130 QM.; Flüsse: Minnesota od. St. Peters River, Crow u. Manya Wakan River; hügelig u. waldig; erst seit 1851 gebildet; 3) Grafschaft im Territory Washington an der Ostseite des Puget Sound, noch unorganisirt; alle drei Grafschaften dieses Namens sind genannt nach Franklin Pierce.
