Plössl, S. P., geb. 19. Sept. 1794 in Wien, Optiker daselbst; fertigte zuerst das von Littrow erfundene dialytische Fernrohr in vielen Exemplaren kleinerer u. größerer Dimension an. 1850 machte er für den Großsultan einen dialytischen Refractor von 11 F. Brennweite u. 101/2 Zoll Objectivöffnung.
