Porto Seguro, 1) Fluß in der brasilianischen Provinz Espiritu Santo, fällt nach Aufnahme mehrer Flüsse unter dem Namen Ambas as Aguas ins Atlantische Meer; 2) Comarca in dieser Provinz, zwischen den Flüssen Doce u. Belmonte; hat viel Urwald, wenig cultivirtes Land, ist nach der Küste zu sehr niedrig, wird außer von Weißen auch von Botocuden, Patachos, Canarins, Maconis u.a. indianischen Stämmen bewohnt; 3) Hauptort derselben, an der Mündung des Rio Buranhen in den Atlantischen Ocean.
