Praxiphănes

Praxiphănes, griechischer Peripatetiker, aus Mytilene od. von Rhodos, lebte um 322 v. Chr., war Schüler des Theophrastos u. stiftete selbst eine Schule; er beschäftigte sich bes. mit Grammatik u. wird als der erste griechische Grammatiker betrachtet; seine Schriften sind verloren.
