Procris, 1) P. Fabr., Gattung aus der Schmetterlingsfamilie Zygänen; Fühler der Männchen sind doppelt gekämmt, die der Weibchen einfach, die kurzen Taster haben angedrückte Schuppen, die Hinterbeine[613] sehr kurze Sporen; Arten: P. statices (Glaucopis s., Taubenhälschen), P. globulariae, P. ampelophaga, P. pruni, P. saepium, P. infausta, alle außer P. statices in Südeuropa; 2) P. Juss., Pflanzengattung aus der Familie der Urticaceae, 21 Kl 4. Ordn. L.; gehört zu Boehmeria Jacq.; Arten: P. acuminata, P. fagifolia, P. urticaefolia etc., oft- u. westindische Gewächse.
