Quinquagesĭma

Quinquagesĭma (lat.), 1) 1/50 unter Augustus die Steuer, welche Sklavenhändler an das Ärarium bezahlen mußten; Q. emphyteuticaria, der 50. Theil des Werths der Sache, welcher dem Dominus emphyteuseos für die Annahme u. Einsetzung des neuen Emphyteuten bei der Schenkung, dem Vermächtniß, Tausch od. Verkauf des emphyteutischen Rechts entrichtet werden muß; 2) der 50. Tag vor Ostern, der 7. Sonntag vor dem Feste, auch Estomihi, s.d. Q. abstinentiae et poenitentiae, die zum Fasten u. der Buße bestimmte 50tägige Zeit, weil in der mit diesem Sonntag anhebenden Woche die Fastenzeit anfing; 3) (Q. paschalis, Q. laetitiae et exaltationis), die 50 Tage von Ostern bis Pfingsten; 4) (Quinquagesimae figurae, Q. gloriae, Q. glorificationis), die Sonntage von Quasimodogeniti bis zum Trinitatisfest.
