Reh), John, geb. 1628 zu Black-Notley in Essexshire, studirte in Cambridge Theologie, wurde Prediger, widmete sich jedoch der Naturgeschichte, bes. als er Glaubensstreitigkeiten halber seine Stelle verlor, u. st. 1705 in Black-Notley; er schr.: Historia plantarum, Lond. 1686–1704, 3 Thle., n.A. 1716, Fol. (Hauptwerk, wodurch in der Botanik eine neue Bahn gebrochen wurde), u.a. botanische Werke; The wisdom of God, manifested in the works of creation, ebd. 1691, 12.
