Report (engl., spr. Rihpohrt), der Bericht, bes. ein amtlicher. Daher Reporters (spr. Ripohrt'rs), Berichterstatter, vorzugsweise diejenigen, welche die Parlamentsverhandlungen für die größeren englischen Zeitungen u. Journale (meist stenographisch) niederschreiben. Eine eigne Art R-s sind die Penny-a-liners (spr. Penni-ä-leiners), welche an die Redaction Localneuigkeiten berichten u. gewöhnlich mit einem Penny für die Zeile honorirt werden.
