Sins, 1) Pfarrdorf u. Kreisort im Bezirk Muri des Schweizercantons Aargau, links an der Reuß mit Brücke (Sinserbrücke, 1847 im Sonderbundkriege durch den Sonderbundsobersten Elgger in die Luft gesprengt); die Gemeinde hat 1800 Ew.; 2) Pfarrdorf im Bezirk Inn des Schweizercantons Graubündten, im Ünterengadin, links am Inn, Rathhaus, Post; 950 Ew. Dabei die Burgruine Nunsperg od. Petersburg); der Ort wurde 1622 von den Österreichern eingeäschert u. brannte 1748 u. 1825 fast ganz nieder.
