Stachytarphēta

Stachytarphēta (S. Vahl), Pflanzengattung aus der Familie der Verbenaceae-Lippieae, 4. Kl. 1. Ordn. L., gehört zu Verbena Lin; Arten: Sträucher u. Halbsträucher, mit in langen Ähren stehenden Blüthen, fast sämmtlich in Südamerika, zum Theil als Zierpflanzen. S. jamacïcensis, mit schönen blauen, in langen schlanken, dicht angedrückten Ähren stehenden Blumen; die Blätter dienten bisweilen zur Verfälschung des chinesischen Thees, kommen auch für sich als brasilianischer Thee nach Europa.
