Millin (spr. Milläng), Aubin Louis, n.A. Auguste M. de Grand Maison), geb. 1759 in Paris, studirte bes. neue Sprachen u. Naturwissenschaften, wurde unter der Schreckensregierung ein Jahr lang eingekerkert, verlor unter dem Directorium durch die Reduction der Renten sein Vermögen, wurde hierauf nach einander Divisionschef in dem Bureau des öffentlichen Unterrichts, Professor der Geschichte an der Centralschule des Departements Seine, Conservator des Medaillencabinets, Redacteur des Magasin encyclopédique u. endlich Conservator der Antiken; 1807 ging er nach Südfrankreich, 1811–13 nach Italien u. st. 1818 in Paris.
