Thaumastus, Sklave des Caligula vor seiner Erhebung auf den Thron. Als Herodes Agrippa von Tiberius gefangen gesetzt wurde, labte ihn Th. mit einem Trunke Wasser, wofür Agrippa, als er wieder frei wurde, sich den Th. vom Caligula ausbat u. ihm die Freiheit u. ein hohes Amt gab.
