Thrombus (gr.), Blutklumpen, Blutpfropf, Blutkuchen, Blutgeschwulst; daher Thromboschĕsis, Verhalten, Zurückhaltung von Blutklumpen. Thrombōsis (Pfropfbildung), Verstopfung der Arterien u. Venen durch ein Blutgerinsel. T. lactea, Stockung der Milch in den Brüsten.
