Water Closets (engl., spr. Uater Klosetts), Wassercabinet, s.u. Abtritt 2). Auch für andere häusliche Bedürfnisse sind die W. C. brauchbar, wie um Wasch-, Koch- od. anderes weiches Wasser aus dem Gefäß unter dem Dach zu bekommen. Man dreht deshalb nur einen Hahn einer Röhre um, woraus darauf Wasser in die Küche jedes Stockwerks, in das Waschhaus od. wo man es sonst hin haben will, läuft. Vgl. Rinnstein 1).
