Waye

Waye, eine Stelle, wo bei einem durchbrochenen Deich auch der Grund vom Wasser ausgewühlt u. ein Kolk entstanden ist, um welchen man bisweilen einen kleinen Damm anlegen muß, damit das Wasser nicht weiter in das Land dringt. Der Grund eines solchen Deiches, so wie das Material desselben, heißt Wayfeld.
