Werlhof, Paul Gottlieb, geb. 1699 in Helmstädt; prakticirte als Arzt anfangs in Peina u. seit 1725 in Hannover, wo er 1729 Hofmedicus u. 1742 Leibarzt wurde u. 1767 starb; er schr.: Opera medica, Hannov. 1757, 3 Bde., herausg. von I. E. Wichmann; Gedichte, ebd. 1756. Er lieferte die Werlhofsche Krätzsalbe, so v.w. Weiße Quecksilbersalbe (s.u. Quecksilbersalbe) u. nach ihm ist genannt die Werlhofsche Blutfleckenkrankheit, so v.w. Blutfleckenkrankheit (s.u. Blutflecken 1).
