Animadversĭo

Animadversĭo (lat), 1) Anmerkung, Note; 2) Verweis, Strafe; z.B. A. censorĭa, die von den Censoren verhängte Strafe, s. u. Censor; bes. 3) Vollziehung der gesetzlich zuerkannten Strafe. Daher Animadvertiren, auf-, bemerken, zu Herzen nehmen.
