Bigha, 1) (Troas), Sandschakat des osmanisch-asiatischen Ejalets Anadoli, am Marmormeer u. der Dardanellenstraße, gebirgig (Spitzen: Gargara 4700 Fuß, Ida u.a.); Vorgebirge: Janitscharen. cap, Jenischeer (Sigeum), mit Dorf gleiches Nam.; Flüsse: Bigbasu, Mindere, Rhodius; See: Bighasu; schwach bevölkert; war der Schauplatz von Trojas Schicksalen, Xerres Feldzügen u.a.; 2) (bei den Byzantinern Pegä), Stadt in demselben, am Bighasu, Sitz eines Statthalters; hier 1288 Niederlage der Tataren durch Sultau Ali Eddin III.; dann eroberte es Orkhan, später kam es wieder in die Hände der Almogabaren, aber 1633 eroberte es Murad I. wieder; 3) bewohnte Shetlands-Insel.
