Braslaw (Bratzlaw), 1) Kreis des russischen Gouvernements Podolien, hat mehrere Sümpfe u. einen See, wird vom Bug u. mehreren kleinen Flüssen bewässert u. zählt 131,500 Ew.; 2) Kreisstadt daselbst am Bug, 4500 Ew. B. wurde 1672 von den Türken genommen, aber 1675 von den Polen zurückerobert u. von Neuem befestigt.
