Nerbudda

Nerbudda (spr. Nerbadda, im Sanskrit Narmada), Fluß in Indien, entspringt in Gundwana auf dem Gebirge Amarkantak, nimmt oberhalb Hoschungabad seinen bedeutendsten Nebenfluß, den Towah, auf, bildet dann mehre Katarakten, welche der Beschiffung hinderlich sind, u. mündet 6 Meilen unterhalb Broach nach einem 160 Meilen langen Laufe in den Busen von Cambay.
