Butos (Buto, a. Geogr.), Hauptstadt des Phthenotes od. Chemmites Nomos in Unterägypten am Nil, dabei gleichnamiger See (jetzt Burlos), mit Tempel u. Orakel der Göttin Buto (s.d.); jetzt Kom Kasir.
