Carălis

Carălis (a. Geogr.), Hafenstadt auf Sardinien am Caralitanischen Meerbusen, mit gutem Hafen. Die Stadt war von den Carthagern gegründet u. kam dann an die Römer, welche den Caralitauern das Bürgerrecht gaben u. die Stadt zur Hauptstadt der Insel u. zum Sitz des Prätors machten; jetzt Cagliari.
