Conformers

Conformers (Conformisten), in der Anglicanischen Kirche unter der Königin Elisabeth diejenigen, welche sich conformirten, d.h. die gesetzlich eingeführte Liturgie von 1562 annahmen u. das bischöfliche Kirchenregiment billigten. Ihre Gegner hießen Nonconformisten (Dissenters), s. Anglicanische Kirche.
