Diphyes (Doppelqualle), Gattung der Röhrenquallen mit länglichem, aus zwei ungleichgroßen, wie Tuten in einander gefügten Knorpelstücken bestehendem Leibe, das vordere Saugröhrenstück mit vielen Saugröhren u. Eierstöcken an einem Faden; Art: D. campanulifera (Glockenqualle), 31/2 Zoll groß, bei Gibraltar.
