Equulĕus

Equulĕus (röm. Ant.), eine Foltermaschine, bestand aus 1 Querbalken mit 4 Füßen, darauf wurde der Inquisit gesetzt od. gelegt u. mittelst, an Händen u. Füßen befestigten Stricken gedehnt u. gereckt.
