Fanam (Fanoe, Fanum), ostindische Münze der eingeborenen Fürsten: 1) in Gold von der Größe einer Linse als Scheidemünze: a) in Calcutta = 43/4 Sgr.; b) in Cananor = 3 Sgr. 111/6 Pf.; c) auf der Küste Coromandel = 3 Sgr. 14/5 Pf.; d) Canteroy-F. = 6 Sgr. 31/2 Pf.; e) Sultana-F. = 6 Sgr. 2) In Silber: a) in den dänischen Colonien = 2 Sgr. 3,2 Pf.; b) in Bombai = 4 Sgr. 4/5 Pf.; c) in Cananor = 3 Sgr.; d) engl. = 1 Sgr. 7,6 Pf.; e) in Pondichery, doppelte = 41/2 Sgr, einfache = 22/3 (21/2) Sgr. 3) Rechnungsmünze u. ungefähr 2 Sgr.: a) in Bombai 3 F-s = 1 Mohur; b) in Madras 6 F-s = 1 Rupie, 42 F-s = 1 Sternpagode; c) in Kalikut 5 F-s = 1 Rupie, 80 F-s = 1 Mohur. 4) Gold- u.
