Obturātor (lat.), 1) Verstopfer; 2) (O. palāti), Instrument, um bei einer widernatürlichen Spalte od. Öffnung im knöchernen Gaumen dieselbe auszufüllen u. zu verhindern, daß die Nahrungsstoffe durch dieselbe in die Nasenhöhle gelangen. 3) Theil des Stethoskops, s.u. Auscultation 2). 4) Obturatores (Obturatorii musculi), s.u. Fußmuskeln A) Cc). Obturatorische Arterie (Obturatoria arteria), s. Beckenarterie b). Obturatorische Bänder des Nackens (O. ligamenta cervīcis), s.u. Kopfbänder. Obturatorischer Nerv (Obturatorius nervus), Hüftbeinlochnerv, s. Lendennerven c).
