Lackawaxen, 1) Städtischer Bezirk (Post-township) in der Grafschaft Pike des Staates Pennsylvanien (Nordamerika) am Delaware River; 1600 Ew.; 2) Postort darin an der Mündung des L. River in den Delaware River, an der New York-Erie Eisenbahn u. am Hudson-Delaware Kanal, welcher hier durch einen großen Aquäduct über den Delaware geleitet wird. Der 12 Meilen lange Lackawaxenkanal, eine Verlängerung des Hudson-Delawarekanals, führt von Charpenters Point in New York bis zur Mündung des L. River u. von da bis Honesdale in Pennsylvanien, wo er sich an die nach Carbondale führende Eisenbahn anschließt.
