Lepontĭi (a. Geogr.), rhätisches Volk in Nordwesten des jetzigen Cantons Tessin, am Südabhange des St. Gotthard bis zum Lago Maggiore, wo nach ihm noch ein Theil der Alpen die Lepontinischen Alpen (s. Alpen 2) B) b) heißen u. ihr Name sich in dem Val Leventina erhalten hat.
