Limborch

Limborch, Philipp van L., geb. 19. Juni 1633 in Amsterdam, wurde 1657 Pfarrer der Remonstrantengemeinde in Gouda, 1667 in Amsterdam u. 1668 daselbst Professor der Theologie u. st. 30. April 1712. Er zeichnete sich durch Gelehrsamkeit u. Toleranz gegen Andersgläubige unter den Arminianern aus u. sehr.: Institutiones theologiae christ., 1686, 5. A. 1735 (auch ins Englische u. Holländische übersetzt); De veritate religionis christ., Gouda 1687, Basel 1740; Liber sententiarum Inquisitionis tolosanae ab a. 1307 usque 1323, Amst. 1692; Commentar über die Apostelgeschichte, die Briefe an die Römer u.
