Locŭlus

Locŭlus (Loculamentum, lat., Fach), ein Raum, welcher durch eine Scheidewand in einem bohlen Körper, z.B. einer Frucht, entstanden ist. Daher Locularis (Loculosus), fächerig, d. h. durch eine od. mehre Längsscheidewände in Fächer getheilt; zwei-, drei-, vier-, fünf- bis mehrfächerig bi-, tri-, quadri-, quinque- bis multilocularis.
