Chr., fertigte für den Tyrannen Phalaris von Agrigent einen ehernen Ochsen, worein zum Tode Verurtheilte geschlossen u. durch untergelegtes Feuer unter stierähnlichem Gebrüll gebraten werden konnten; Phalaris ließ den Künstler selbst zur Probe darin zuerst braten.
