Proles (lat.), Nachkommenschaft, Sproß. P. radicalis, Wurzelkraut; die an den Wurzeln mancher Pflanzen sich bildenden, als Keime, Knospen, Zwiebeln, Knollen, Knospenknollen, Wurzelsprossen steh darstellenden, der Mutterpflanze ähnliche Pflanzen hervorbringenden Körper.
