Putĕal

Putĕal (lat.), 1) Brunnendecke; 2) ringsum eingeschlossener, nach oben unbedeckter Ort, welcher durch irgend etwas heilig war, z.B. weil der Blitz in denselben eingeschlagen hatte u. dgl., so in Rom P. Libōnis u. P. Naevii.
