Reform (v. lat.), 1) Umgestaltung, Veränderung der Form irgend eines Gegenstandes mit dem Begriff einer Verbesserung; 2) die Umänderung u. Verbesserung von geistigen u. sittlichen Instituten u. Einrichtungen, so R. des Schulwesens, der Universitäten, der Kirche u. des Staates.
